Big Wheel Burger has been particularly energetic at adapting to COVID-19, with unique distancing measures at their locations and a new foundation, My FED Farm, intended to help laid-off workers (BigWheelBurger.com).
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, The Capital has endeavoured to keep you up to date on which businesses were staying open through the crisis, and which ones were offering delivery, possibly for the first time.
But this list is the big one. To celebrate BC’s tentative steps towards lifting COVID-19 restrictions, we went all-out to gather the most comprehensive list possible of every Southern Vancouver Island brewery, bakery, winery, cidery, distillery, eatery and grocery still showing up to work.

Category 12 Brewery\ \ Free delivery on orders over $50, Thursday to Saturday. Order by 10 am, and delivery is same-day. Pickup also available.
Driftwood Brewery\ \ Same-day doorstep delivery throughout Greater Victoria and the Lower Mainland.

Phillips Brewery\ \ Their “Ales on Wheels” program, put together with West Coast Brewery Tours, was one of the first of the pandemic. That is, when they’re not making hand sanitizer for frontline workers. Check the site for delivery times.
Sea Cider\ \ Bottle sales right at the winery, or free delivery throughout the CRD on orders of six bottles or more (and the bottles are only $15 apiece).
Spinnakers Brew Pub\ \ They’ve whipped up a whole new takeaway menu available at their Spinnakers provision store: Sandwiches, boxes, preserves and cocktail kits.
Sheringham Distillery\ \ This Sooke distillery unfortunately sold out of hand sanitizer, but all their other spirits are available for pickup or delivery.
Twa Dogs Beer\ \ Free deliveries throughout Victoria on orders over $50.
Vancouver Island Brewery\ \ Free local delivery with a minimum order of $40. Same day if ordered before 2 pm, although check the site to see when they’ll be in your part of town.

Cork & Barrel Spirit Merchants
Open for regular business and offering free delivery on orders over $50, as well as preparing online orders for pickup.
Strathcona Liquor Store\ \ The store’s still open, albeit under reduced hours, or order online and they’ll be running delivery throughout the pandemic.
Swans Liquor Store\ \ Free parking in front of the store for picking up online orders. Free delivery on orders over $75 within a 10 km radius of the store.
Swiftsure Liquor Store\ \ This Days Inn liquor store is still open, but they advise calling ahead for hours.
Tudor House Liquor Store\ \ Open 9 am to 11 pm every day, but like everyone else they aren’t accepting empties or offering tastings. Just like before the pandemic, they also offer liquor delivery.
Vessel Liquor\ \ Vessel has put together a delivery operation throughout the pandemic: Free throughout Greater Victoria on orders over $100, delivered between 10 am and 2 pm daily.
Rosie’s Cold Beer and Wine\ \ Rosie’s is open for business as usual. Check site for hours.

Bakeology Cafe\ \ Open for takeaway Friday to Sunday, 9 to 3 pm.
Bubby Rose’s\ \ Cafe and Nosherie locations are open for takeaway seven days a week, with varying hours.
Cakes Etc.\ \ Open for pickup Tuesday to Friday, 9 to 3 pm and Saturday 9 to 4.
Cobs Bread\ \ Locations are remaining open during their regular hours, with additional sanitization and physical distancing measures in place.
Crust Bakery\ \ Open seven days a week, 8 to 3 pm. Customers can order online or over the phone, and can choose contactless pickup or delivery courtesy of the new Crust Truck.
Dutch Bakery\ \ Open Monday to Friday, 10 to 3 pm. Online orders are available for curbside pickup, or delivery for a $10 flat rate. Orders can also be placed through SkiptheDishes.
Empire Donuts\ \ Open for online pre-orders only, Wednesday to Sunday, 9 to 12 pm. Orders are not accepted over the phone, and orders must be in before 8 pm the day before. In-store pickup is not available, but delivery is free for orders over $15, if the delivery address is within 8km of the Cook St shop.

Fry’s Bakery\ \ Open for takeaway, with delivery provided for a elderly and immunocompromised local customers. Orders can be placed by phone.
La Roux Patisserie\ \ Open seven days a week, 9 to 5 pm, for takeaway and limited delivery only. Delivery is available within downtown, James Bay, Ross Bay, and Oak Bay.
Mosi Bakery\ \ Open seven days a week, 8:30 to 4 pm, via a takeout window. Online orders for pickup or delivery must be placed by 9pm the previous day. Deliveries will arrive between 3 and 6 pm the day after the order is placed.
Origin Bakery\ \ Both locations are closed for in-store shopping, but orders can be placed online for pickup, delivery, and shipping. Pickup is available at the Pandora St location only. Delivery within Victoria is free for orders over $75. Otherwise, Victoria delivery is $8 and delivery up to Campbell River is $12. For shipping outside of Vancouver Island, rate options are available at the online checkout.
Patisserie Daniel\ \ Open Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 to 3 pm, and Saturday 9 to 3 pm, with only one customer allowed in the shop at a time. Orders can be placed over the phone.
Pure Vanilla\ \ Open for takeaway and pickup Monday to Saturday, 8:30 to 3 pm. Online orders for pickup must be placed by noon, 48 hours in advance. Limitations to the regular menu are listed on their website.
Ruth and Dean\ \ The downtown location is closed, but the Estevan location is open Tuesday to Saturday, 8 to 2 pm. Custom cakes are unavailable, but a takeaway menu is available on their website and can be ordered over the phone..
The Bikery\ \ Operating Wednesday to Sunday, 10 to 3 pm. Orders must be made online the previous day or earlier. Deliveries are free, but orders outside of Victoria, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, and Saanich must meet a $20 minimum.
They're open again and are serving a selection of baked breads, baked goods, pies and frozen meals from the patio windows of the bakery. Open 7 am to 5 pm daily.
Wild Fire Bakery\ \ Open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 to 4:30. Pre-orders are encouraged, and must be filled via phone or email two working days in advance. Deliveries can be expected between approximately 10 and 2 pm. Pickup and takeaway is available 10 to 4 pm. Contactless deliveries are offered within 6km of the bakery. Orders over $25 are free, otherwise there is a $5 fee. Menu changes are detailed on their website.

Hey Happy Coffee\ \ Curbside delivery on Fridays in Victoria for a $2 fee. Order cutoff for same-week delivery is Thursday at midnight. Orders can be placed online.
Hide and Seek Coffee\ \ Takeout window is open Monday to Friday, 10 to 4. Mystery coffee orders are delivered on Saturdays, and must be ordered by midnight on Friday. Orders to the western communities or the Saanich peninsula require a $40 minimum order for delivery. Orders can be made online.
