Caffe Fantastico Bar-Deli
A Harbour Road cafe, bar, and deli beside the Galloping Goose.
A backyard coffee cart from 1993, grown into the harbour's deli.
Ryan Taylor built a coffee cart in his backyard and wheeled it down to the Inner Harbour in 1993, paper route money and a borrowed parental credit card. Thirty-odd years later that obsession lands here at Dockside Green: garage-style windows thrown open, a wrap-around patio over the working harbour, rowers and tugs sliding past. It is a roaster's café that turned into a proper deli, built for Vic West locals and anyone coasting in off the Goose. Good coffee, real charcuterie, no fuss about who you are.
The move
Build a charcuterie box: cured meats, BC and imported cheese, house-marinated olives, pickled veg, apricots, fig jam, and let the staff steer it. Pair it with a cider or a sour. Solo and caffeinated, get the latte and a peanut butter cookie.
Go when
Roll up mid-morning once the deli opens at 9:30 and claim the patio while the sun is on the water. Happy hour runs 3 to 4. They close at 5:30, so this is a daytime move, not a late one.
