We roast small batches five mornings a week out of our Fernwood shop, and we’re looking for someone to own the whole roast — from green selection through profiling, cupping, and the daily production schedule. You’ll work closely with the café team and our wholesale accounts across the South Island.
This is a hands-on, early-start role. Most days begin before the neighbourhood wakes up, and you’ll have the roaster, the data, and the final say on what goes in the bag. Experience on a commercial drum roaster is essential; a palate you trust is non-negotiable.
We offer extended benefits after three months, a real say in our seasonal line-up, and all the coffee you can reasonably drink.
